What it takes to get a tan
- First, clean and exfoliate your skin in the shower the day of your session.
- When you get to the salon, your salon representative will help you decide which tanning myst and formula is right for you. Or you can check out our Personal Skin Consultant before you go.
- In the tanning room, you'll have blending cream, a hair cap, foot covers, nose filter and towel.
- If you're using a MyMyst™ booth, place the cartridge in the booth upside down and push until you hear it click. If you're using another booth type, your salon attendant will take care of everything for you.
- Undress (yes - most everyone gets Mystic naked!) and place the hair cap on your head, making sure that you have it lifted just above the hairline (not worn down on the forehead like a nurses' cap). If you choose, place the foot covers on your feet.
- Insert cotton in the nose filter and insert this in your nose.
- Now, you wouldn't get a tan from the sun on your palms, so we don't want you to get a Mystic Tan™™ on your palms! That's why you are provided with Blending Cream. Apply a small amount of Blending Cream to your hands and feet (if you don't wear the foot covers) - apply as you would hand lotion. Blend this around the wrists, ankles and between the fingers and toes.
- Next, use a larger amount of blending cream and apply to your fingernails and toenails, as well as to the palms of your hands.
- Step in the booth and follow the voice-guided instructions.
- Exit the booth at the end of the session.
- Use a paper towel to remove the excess blending cream from your hands and feet.
- Use the towel to dry off any excess TanningMyst™ - although this should be minimal. Dry off as though you were getting out of the shower - no need to worry about streaking.
- Use a paper towel to remove the hair cap and nose filters.
- Get dressed - you're ready to go!
- Enjoy your new glowing skin!
